You may be wondering — why do we have sheep on our Grassfed Beef farm? The answer is simple: biodiversity. Diversity is good for our soil, our grass, and our compost, plus it helps keep our herds disease free. We raise St. Croix Kentahten sheep, and since they grow hair and not wool, we don’t need to shear them. Additionally, the St. Croix breed has high lambing percentages, and the ewes make great mamas!
