All jokes aside, with spring lambs just around the corner, we thought it would be fun to sit down with our Head Herdsman Derek to learn more about the sheep we raise at Foxhollow Farm. In addition to managing 350 cattle, Herdsmen Derek and Rusbel also take care of about 50 sheep. Our sheep spend their entire lives grazing on our biodynamic pastures, and we often group our cattle and lamb together to protect our flock from predators. At Foxhollow, we take pride in raising premium 100% Grassfed Beef and Lamb because we believe grazing animals heal the land and are healthier for us as the consumer.
We are excited to announce we have half lambs available for purchase at $275 each. You can reserve your half lamb HERE and we will have it processed, vacuum sealed, flash frozen, and ready for pickup here at Foxhollow Farm in late March.
A half lamb includes a variety of cuts including:
- 1 Leg (4-6 lbs)
- 1 Boneless Shoulder (2-4 lbs)
- Loin Chops (1.5 lbs)
- 1 Rack of Lamb (2 lbs)
- Ribs (1 lb)
- Shanks (1 lb)
- Ground Lamb (3-5 lbs)
