Temporary Event Contractor - Event Support

Foxhollow Farm is a family run farm in Crestwood KY. Our mission is to create a thriving Biodynamic farm community. We raise 100% Grassfed Beef and are dedicated to growing healthy food and strengthening the relationship between human beings and nature. 

Summary: To support our mission, Foxhollow Farm hosts events at the farm and invites our area community We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic person to provide support at our popular Sunset Concert Series and additional events.  Concert Series events take place the second Friday evening of the month from May-September with additional event dates listed below.  The candidate must be available to work all events of the season. We are looking for someone with a positive “can-do” attitude who can demonstrate the down- home friendliness and authenticity associated with our farm.   

Responsibilities include: 

  • Assist vendors and bar team with set up and tear down of booths, bars
  • Set up and maintain trash and recycling stations at established locations throughout event
  • Set up and tear down appropriate signage, activities stage materials as needed
  • Be prepared to run errands for supplies at event if needed
  • Assist and answer questions about the event/farm from our guests
  • Represent the farm courteously, with friendliness and professionalism
  • Communicate positively and effectively
  • Assists with/executes any and all tasks as assigned by supervisor

Key Qualities:

  • Must be 18 years of age and provide a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to move quickly between various tasks
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Responsible, punctual, dependable
  • Ability to take direction and take initiative

Education/Experience:

  • Food service, event, or customer service experience preferred

Physical Demands and Appearance:

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods at a time
  • Lift and carry up to 35lbs
  • A provided Foxhollow Farm concert t-shirt may be required; otherwise Foxhollow Farm representatives are expected to dress in a professional manner.

This is a contract labor position.

Pay is $11 per hour or a $50 minimum per concert.  The position requires that you are present to work at all Sunset Concerts: May 11th, June 8th, July 13th, August 10th, September 14th, and as needed to complete the job. Additional events may be added to the events season.  Estimated 4-6 work hours per concert.

Experienced Farm Hand

Reports to: Derek Lawson, Head Herdsman, Foxhollow Farm

Job Summary:

 

Foxhollow Farm is seeking a Farm Hand with mechanical experience to perform a variety of tasks on our 1300 acre Biodynamic grassfed beef farm. This is a full time, year round position with benefits.  This role requires a hard worker who can perform a variety of farm tasks involving operation of farm machinery and servicing and performing mechanical work on farm machinery.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Bush hogging/mowing pastures
  • Baling and moving hay
  • Operation of a 75+ horsepower tractor and its various attachments
  • Mechanical service of a variety of heavy farm machinery and implements
  • Other land maintenance tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • Experience driving tractors and other farm machinery
  • Experience using plows, discs, and seeders
  • Farm mechanics and equipment maintenance experience

 

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
  • Must be willing to take a drug test
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to stand for up to 4 hours at a time
