Magnolia Boulevard is a five piece band built in Lexington, Kentucky. With a variety of musical backgrounds, the group has come together seamlessly on a common sound: balancing the line between blues and rock n’ roll. This group has their own unique story to tell…
“Spiritual, psychedelic-layered cosmic rock” Out of the depths of the sprawling wooded suburbs of Oldham County, KY originates THE DIVE, a quartet comprised of reunited ‘80s childhood friends and former bandmates; Ryan Allen, Jeremy F. King, Ben Lancaster and Alex Rose. Their singer-songwriter vibe is based on tight rhythms, thunderous drums and thumping bass lines layered in heavy synths, solos and harmonized vocals. The current lineup has been active since 2014 but originating members, Allen and King, played under “THE DIVE” moniker throughout the Louisville area in the 1990’s; along with various musician pals and schoolmates. The band’s message in the bottle is drawn from 25 years songwriting experience influenced by Mooji, Jack Kerouac, Bob Marley, J. Krishnamurti, Ram Dass, Thomas Merton, Buddha, Andy Warhol, The Tao Te Ching and Terence McKenna. THE DIVE is very local community driven and socially minded; to date, they have donated a majority of their proceeds to charities such as The Houston Food Bank (in support of Hurricane Harvey survivors), Dare to Care and local Foxhollow Farm Outreach Program.
