Experience and enjoy the beauty of nature and the changing of the seasons through a child’s eyes. This two hour parent/tot class will be held at Foxhollow Farm, where we will gather for picnics, outdoor play and exploration, and Stories and songs about the natural world. Join us for this un-hurried opportunity to connect and inspire one another.
Who: Parents/guardians and their children, ages birth to age 7
Where: Foxhollow Farm, 8905 Hwy 329, Crestwood, KY 40014
When: Saturday mornings, 9-11am, beginning January 27 and running every other Saturday (with an extra week off for Spring Break).
The dates are January 27, February 10, February 24, March 10, March 24, and April 14.
What to expect: Each week, we will begin in the Farm Center with meet and greet and play time. At 9:30, we will greet the day with seasonal songs and simple circle games. Then we will bundle up and head outside for a leisurely walk in the woods, story time, and warm tea with muffins. We will say our goodbyes at the end of the nature trail with a short song and free play.
Marybeth Legler is a Waldorf-trained early childhood teacher and nutritionist who has been working with children and parents for 20 wonderful years. Marybeth believes imaginative play, time in nature, and nurturing foods, storytelling and simplicity are essential pieces of a healthy childhood. She loves to create space for children to simply play and be children, and enjoys sharing observations and ideas to support healthy growth and development with parents.
* Cost is $185 per family for 6 classes. “Family” includes one or two parents or guardians, and up to 2 children ages 7 and under. More children may be included for an additional fee of $20/child.
* Class size will be determined as registration grows and will be capped when the teacher feels that the class makeup will allow for a comfortable environment. If the class fills up, Marybeth may consider additional class times. Makeup classes are not available at this time, but are not ruled out for the future, depending on class popularity.
* Please refrain from using electronic devices during the class. If you need to make/accept a call, please step outside to do so.
* Please refrain from taking pictures/videos of the children during class.
