QiGong Spring Series with Martha
Fridays 10 am-11 am at The Stones at Foxhollow Farm
Class Price: $15
Join Foxhollow Farm land stewards, Maggie and Janey, and Martha for QiGong at The Stones at Foxhollow Farm. We will start gathering at 9:45 am and then start class promptly at 10 am. Please plan to arrive at least 5-10 minutes before the class starts to get your chair set up and settled (Please bring your own chair). Foxhollow Market will be open after class for tea and shopping.
Qigong has been practiced in China for over 4,000 years, incorporating movement and meditations to bring the physical, mental, and emotional into balance.
During this gathering, we will practice movements to nourish, replenish, and harmonize as we explore the connection between organs and emotions and learn self-healing meditations and methods. The movements can be adapted to accommodate physical challenges or limitations.
Martha has been studying Zhineng Qigong with Chinese Master Yuantong Liu since 2008 and began teaching in 2015. She appreciates the holistic nature of the practice and has enjoyed physical benefits along with increased emotional balance, mental clarity, and spiritual awareness.
Logistics: Parking is available near the stones by pulling off the main road or parking up at Valley View. If you wish to walk, you can park in the main parking lot at Foxhollow Farm Center and walk the Orchard path to The Stones (allow 30 minutes to park and walk). Janey or Maggie is happy to show you the path! Just put in the notes at checkout that you would like a walking tour to the class. Please wear appropriate shoes for walking about a farm and weather-appropriate clothing for being outdoors, including a hat to shade your face. There are no restrooms at the Stones (other than the woods). Restrooms are available in The Farm Center before and after class.
