Is Grassfed Beef Healthier than Fake Meat?

Eat Less Meat, and Choose Quality Grassfed Meat

I’ve been concerned and disturbed by the buzz around fake meat. Fake meat is not the answer to the environmental and nutritional devastation we are facing. Fake meat is not an alternative that is best for our farmland or you and your loved ones wanting to eat healthy food.

We need to eat less meat, eat meat from farmers we know and trust, and eat meat from animals that are working to heal our farmland. Our farmland is too precious and we must treat it with respect by eating food that helps heal the land. If you don’t want to eat meat, then eat vegetables, fruits, beans, rice...real food!

The healthiest way to eat meat is to eat meat raised on pasture from a farmer with the utmost respect for the animals and the land.

Healing the Land

I have been healing my family’s farmland for the past 13 years. Cattle are a key component to our Biodynamic Farm. They graze the land, fertilize our pastures, and work everyday to heal our farmland. Our Biodynamic farm produces a diverse mix of food for our community and we need rich soil filled with life in order to grow healthy produce. Our grazing cattle and sheep have built topsoil, develop soil filled with microbial life, humus and compost. All this is key to growing food with no pesticides, herbicides, or any of the scary chemicals found in faux meat.

Healing your Body

We can all do our part to treat the environment, animals, and our bodies with the respect it deserves. When you are eating a fake burger, you are not being environmentally conscientious, you are not saving an animal’s life, and you are not eating healthy! You are adding to the bigger issue of us ignoring the fact that we need to eat less meat and more responsibly raised meat.

The healthiest way to eat meat is to eat meat raised on pasture from a farmer with the utmost respect for the animals and the land. I believe in the ethics and power of a plant based diet, I appreciate vegetarians, and individuals who limit their meat consumption.

So, if you are tempted to go try one of those fake burgers, don’t. If you want to eat vegetables then roast some of our earth’s treasures; butternut squash, broccoli, and carrots. If you want to eat a burger, then eat one that is 100% Grassfed.
