Description
Farm Saunter: A Walk with Our Friends, the Flowers and Trees
Saturday May 13, 11 am - 1pm at Foxhollow Farm
Join us for a family-friendly Farm Saunter to learn basic plant identification through observation, appreciation, art and play. We will take a walk on the farm with nature enthusiast and local artist, Lindsay Duncan, and garden guide and certified arborist, Miriam Klein. Baskets in tow, we will collect nature things to make art with. Our walk will end at the center of the Stone Circle, the most sacred space at Foxhollow Farm, for a picnic and community nature mandala.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own "saunter sack", a backpack from home, including a magnifying glass, colored pencils and sketch book or journal, or anything else that might enhance exploration.
Our saunter is intentionally planned the day before Mother's Day, to celebrate Mother Earth. So bring mama, aunts, uncles, babies and kids of all ages!
Capacity: 25 walking humans over the age of 3 (carried babies are welcomed). We will walk about 1 mile.
