Partner Grower Program
The mission of the partner growers program is to provide the opportunity for farmers, gardeners, and artisans to grow Biodynamic® and organic food in a supportive community. We are committed to creating partnerships with farming entrepreneurs. We believe in the importance of sharing our farmland with the next generation of individuals dedicated to growing food that is nourishing and delicious. The exchange of information, resources, and support are a few of the benefits of gathering a group of individual growers on one piece of farmland. Our current partner growers include:
Pavel Ovechkin
Since 2007, Pavel has operated a vegetable CSA and market garden at Foxhollow Farm. Pavel grows delicious vegetables using organic gardening methods on fields using herbal preparations developed by Rudolf Steiner. Subscribers to the CSA enjoy a full box of freshly picked vegetables each week. You can also find Pavel at the Douglass Loop Farmer’s Market during the growing season.
Christy O’Connell & Mandy Thompson
As first-generation female farmers, Christy and Mandy are both committed to learning and implementing sustainable growing practices, while also improving as creative designers. You can find their seasonal, locally and organically grown, flowers at both the St. Matthews Beargrass Christian Farmers Market and Bardstown Road Farmers Market. In recent years, Pure Pollen has expanded their offerings to include a seasonal CSA flower subscription, which features both pickup and delivery options. As a florist, Pure Pollen Flowers offers year-round design services for weddings, events, holidays, and local deliveries.

Moonlight farms & Homestead honey
Chris and Aysha Ross purchased their 11-acre farm, Moonlight Farms Homestead, in 2015 after the birth of their fourth child. They received their first beehive that year, a gift from his mother. Every since they have been slowly increasing their hive numbers, until 2020 when they made the decision to grow the apiary to a full-time business. They are thrilled to be partnering with Foxhollow Farms to bring bees, (and honey!), to this wonderful farming community.
Todd Childers & Megan Olliges
Todd Childers and Megan Olliges co-created Facing West Farm in 2009, after years of working for and learning with local organic and biodynamic farmers. May through December their naturally grown vegetables are available for purchase at the Original Bardstown Rd Farmers Market. They are so grateful and excited to be partnering with Foxhollow, growing winter squash and pumpkins for Foxhollow Market, as well as offering a U-pick pumpkin patch in the fall.Â
Orchard rangers
Andy Oost and Robert Woodford each have 18+ years of experience in the fields of natural areas restoration, park management, forestry, arboriculture, invasive plant management, and horticulture. In 2018, Robert and Andrew partnered to form Sylvan City Tree Company, specializing in high-quality tree planting, design, and consultation work.
They are both avid gardeners, and are passionate about creating beautiful, lasting, and sustainable food systems in our community. Growing perennial tree food crops is an ideal blend of the agricultural and arboricultural, and we are grateful to Foxhollow for the opportunity to bring their orchard to life.
