Job Summary: 

The Event & Community Engagement Manager is responsible for maintaining positive relationships through planning and executing events that foster community connection and promote Foxhollow Farm’s mission. This role manages all aspects of operations, event logistics, communications, and partnerships while coordinating with internal teams to ensure successful execution. In addition, the role cultivates relationships with local farms, nonprofits, and businesses to grow meaningful collaborations and deepen community engagement.


Job Duties & Responsibilities 

Events 

  • Lead the creation of a warm, welcoming experience for all event guests.

  • Develop systems and procedures to ensure smooth operations, including event setup, breakdown, customer surveys, and leadership reporting.

  • Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and partners in person, via phone, and through email.

  • Manage event administration and tracking through Trello and Google Suite for both Market Events and Farm Center Resident Events.

  • Work with the Business Manager to ensure accurate agreements are made for each event.

  • Manage an Event Calendar to encompass both Community Events and Market Events. Ensure to collaborate with the Marketing team on these dates and needs.

  • Develop and Manage a tracking system for events- including budgets, timelines and support needed day of.

  • Strategically plan for peak event seasons (Spring and Fall) and find creative ways to engage the community during slower seasons (Summer and Winter).

  • Work with the Marketing team to ensure any events needing promotion are communicated in a timely manner.

  • Ensure the Market has the necessary descriptions, promotional materials and displays for each event and promotion.This includes working with the Market Manager to ensure appropriate staffing/market needs for events. 


Community Engagement

  • Collaborate with, connect and engage other farmers and farms with missions similar to ours

  • Maintain a list of local and regional nonprofits working in regenerative agriculture, land stewardship, and food systems.

  • Farm Center Management: Ensuring the operations of the Farm Center run smoothly and are streamlined. This will include things like: troubleshooting WiFi issues/needs, addressing resident needs and questions, scheduling maintenance and pest control to provide a positive experience for our Farm Center residents.

  • Resident Engagement: Connect with Farm Center Residents regularly, be their point of contact and coordinate their move ins/move outs/

  • Farm Center Resident Community Engagement: Coordinating and scheduling the events for Farm Center Residents and managing the scheduling of the alternative wellness and healing space.

  • Collaborate with chefs, thought leaders in agriculture, and creative local businesses for in-town and on-farm pop-ups, workshops, or events. Ensuring you are working with the Distribution Manager for these items.

  • Host & coordinate the  Community Gatherings  to welcome the Community, potential partners and new tenants.

  • Working with the Distribution Manager to manage donations requests (including auction baskets) from coordination of needs, creation and packaging of goods and delivery of product.


Marketing

  • Serve as the direct liaison between Foxhollow and Marketing Consultant/team.

  • Work with the Marketing team to ensure events are up to date and accurate.

  • Oversee the Rental calendar to ensure events and rooms are booked appropriately and do not overlap with other farm events.

  • Work with the marketing team to ensure partnerships are highlighted, coordinating needs for advertising and PR pertaining to Foxhollow Partnerships and promotions.


Administrative Support

  • Research local spaces or properties with potential tenant overlap (example: a nearby building recently sold — look up former tenants in the alternative healing space and schedule one-on-one meetings with Maggie).

  • Maintain an organized contact list and notes on partnerships, outreach, and follow-ups.

  • Coordinate calendars, meeting invites, and event reminders.

  • Support administrative tasks tied to community events, collaborations, and partnership meetings.


Skills & Requirements

Hours, Salary & Benefits

  • This is a full-time salaried position as an employee of Foxhollow Farm 

  • The expected salary of this role is negotiable.
