Happy Hygge Holidays Foxhollow Farm

Happy Hygge Holidays

Happy Hygge Holidays! A few years ago, I learned about the Danish word 'hygge' and thought: "Ah! That's the word I've been looking for!" I think it is one of the most perfect words. I've always strived to decorate spaces so that they evoke a certain feeling - my office, my kitchen, my porch - and I never knew how to describe it besides cozy. Proof is in the Energy

The Proof is in the Energy

The Proof is in the Energy. Perhaps you know that the land on which Foxhollow resides has changed hands and evolved quite a bit over the years. (If not, you can read our story here). After the meal, our Vision Holder, Janey, said a few words to recognize Sherry and the importance of the fifteen-year anniversaries. Her words spoke to the beginning of Foxhollow's journey with biodynamic agriculture and how although developing a relationship with the land was key, one key component...

Nature Trail Foxhollow Farm

Along the Nature Trail

Our nature trail is a farm favorite year round, but my favorite time to go down the winding trail is during the summer months. The tree canopy offers a break from the beating sun while you walk through a sea of green. From Ash trees to Ebony Jewelwing, the biodiversity is astounding. Here are my favorite plants, insects, and trees along the trail: I love to look for Pawpaw’s on the trail! This Kentucky native is found in forests as an understory tree. It’s a small tree species that some would even consider a shrub! The oblong leaves are hard...
